Welcome to this site which will be updated regularly with new information, publications, and news releases on all things VZV. This is for health care providers and individuals suffering from VZV disease to disseminate knowledge on neurological and systemic manifestations of virus reactivation. This site is informational only and should not be taken as medical advice. It is essential that individuals work with their health care provider to come up with a comprehensive management plan, taking into account their personal medical history, medications, allergies, etc.

Throughout the site, I have added some helpful links to articles and webpages. It is important to note that some points are based upon my 20+ years clinical experience treating VZV patients (Level 5 evidence - expert opinions, clinical experience, and anecdotal observations; noted in the text) and again do not replace your health care provider's expertise on your clinical history, exam, and contributing factors. The opinions expressed herein are my own and do not represent those of University of Colorado.

Because of my limited clinic time, I cannot correspond with patients directly. For a medical consult, please have your health care provider contact my administrator Jerri Lusk at jerri.lusk@cuanschutz.edu. She will not respond to e-mails from patients due to the overwhelming number of requests we receive. Jerri will set up a phone call or Zoom with your health care provider and myself to discuss your case and set up a visit to my clinic if needed; patients are welcome to join the call.
